Glendale Unified High Schools Rank Among Nation’s Best by U.S. News & World Report
GLENDALE, CA - Glendale Unified high schools rank among the nation’s best once again, according to the U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best High Schools ranking. All four GUSD high schools ranked in the top third of nearly 25,000 high schools considered. Clark Magnet High ranked in the top 1%, Crescenta Valley High in the top 3%, Hoover High in the top 19%, and Glendale High in the top 34% nationwide.
According to U.S. News & World Report methodology, schools are ranked based on six factors, which weigh heavily on state assessment performance, graduation rates, and the percentage of students taking and passing Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exams.
“GUSD is a dynamic, high-performing school district. Our talented teachers, classified staff, and administrators work tirelessly alongside parents and community partners to prepare every student for success in college, career, and life,” said Board of Education President Shant Sahakian. “I am thrilled to celebrate this accomplishment with our entire GUSD community.”
“We are incredibly proud of our GUSD high schools, which rank among the nation’s best year after year,” said Superintendent Dr. Darneika Watson. We are working together every day to foster a positive culture of learning and maximize academic outcomes for every child in our district.”
